This is Mang Tungg Thang (a) Saya Mang (ဆရာမ်), Gualnam clan of Teklwi village, Tedim native. Their racial group themselves is called Zomi living in the Northwestern part of Myanmar. But other peoples called Chin.
He was born in Matupi, Chin State, on May 27, 1972 where my father was a government school teacher serving as Senior Assistant Teacher in Matupi High School. They transfered one place to another year after year.
He went to school at the age of five. He learned education at the Primary School of Teklwi village from Grade 1 and 2. Then He joined Grade 3 and 4 at State Middle School, Lungngo, Matupi township. Then he continued Grade 5 at Teklwi Primary School. Attended Grade 6 to 9 in State Middle School, Kapteel, Tedim Township. Grade 10 and matriculation in No. 1 Basic Education High School Tedim. Matriculated in 1988 from Tedim Exam Center.
He had been to the Mizoram State, India in 1989 as far as Lunglei. Joined Mandalay University, Myanmar in 1991. Graduated with B.Sc (Q) in 1995 specializing in Zoology.
Married to Mrs Langh Zen Man of Teklwi village too. Celebrate their Holy Matrimony in Teklwi Baptist Church on the 20th of April 2001. All the people of Teklwi villagers attended and honored their wedding ceremony.
He is a full time staff member of the Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies (BARS) program of Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT) since its inauguration in 2000. They live in the quarter of MIT, Hyde Park. The BARS program is a Liberal Arts program, and evening classes.
He is an Ecumenical Evangelical Baptist Christian. He is a singer as well.

BACKGROUND
He is of Teklwi village, Tedim Township. His parents are Pu Khup Lyan (Asst. State Education Officer, Inspection, Rtd.) and Pi Dim Zam. He was born on Saturday in Matupi. He has 3 sisters and 4 brothers. His family converted to Christianity in 1976.
Schooling:
He went school at the age of 5, and up to his matriculation, in every exam he won the positions 1/2/3. He had been schooling at SPS Teklwi, SMS Lungngo, Matupi Township, SMS Kaptel, and BEHS (1) Tedim. He passed the Grade 9, final exam set by the State Exam board, with Distinction in English and Mathematics and qualified to take Science subjects in the Grade 10. In Grade 8, 9 and 10 he was selected as the Luyechun candidate. He passed the matriculation in 1988. He joined Mandalay University in 1991 and graduated with B.Sc. (qualify to proceed Master) degree with distinction in Botany in 1995. During his university student life, he had involved in the “Zomi Syamsin Kipawlna” and served as Secretary for one academic year. He and his fellow students found a Newsletter of “Zingsol” (Tedim Dialect) in 1994 and he was the first Editor.
His Great Consecration Prayer: He was born again in 1989 and he wholeheartedly wanted to live for God and his prayer said, “Lord, I know that I am not able to control my life. Control me not to fall into the world, and if it is needed give me disease to control my whole life, take my abilities, and use me as your will.” The following year, he suffered from a feeble disease and it could not be cured whatever drug is used. Besides, after his matriculation, his fervent prayer is to become an instrument of God to serve his people (Zomi) with his best.
ACTIVITIES
There was a pain and suffering in his life at the age of 17 and recovered in 2016 after 27 years of tragedy. He was very upset with his life and could not do whatever he wishes. In his university life, he involved in the University Christian Fellowship (UCF) and they had Gospel journeys to the nearby churches.
GOD DID NOT LEAVE HIM:
He decided to join Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT) and he was directly admitted in the first year of M.Div. class in 1997. Amidst many hardships such as health problems, financial difficulties, he received M.Div. degree in 2000. During his seminary life, he served as the Chairman of Music Committee of the Student Council for one year. After his graduation by the grace of God and the recommendation of his Professor Rev. Dr. Mg Mg Yin, he was directly appointed as a fulltime staff in the Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies (BARS) Program of MIT and he is a pioneer staff of the BARS program in MIT.
BRILLIANT DREAM:
His greatest vision is to make analysis on the Tedim Dialect and develop it to be a Standard Literature. Beginning from the year 2002 April, he started his language survey. Serving in MIT, he got many opportunities and received a Certificate in “Linguistics Introduction for Translation” in May 2004, conducted by MIT and sponsored by Payap University, Thailand.
Distinction: Although he did not hold even a certificate in Computer, he had been computer trainer at Korean’s Mission Training, in Yangon.
He also received "QuiLT Certificate (Qualification in Language Teaching)" in September 2007 offered by American Center, Yangon.
UB Fellow: He was participated as UB Fellow from MIT, organized by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia between 2008-10. He spent 4 months at Silliman University, Philippines in 2009. And also visited Randolph College, USA in January 2010 as UB Fellow. They concluded the UB Fellow program with a Leadership Seminar in July-August 2010 at Duta Wacana Christian University, Indonesia. He presented a paper on "Strategic Management" at this seminar.
Update: Currently, he is a student in the cohort of Master of Arts in Peace Studies (MAPS) for Class of 2018.

Visions
BRILLIANT DREAM: His greatest vision is to make analysis on the Tedim Dialect and develop it to be a Standard Literature. Beginning from the year 2002 April, he started his language survey and analysis. His vision drives him and he is almost finish his work by now.
Thanksgiving Celebration
He has a burning desire in 2007, to hold his whole village (Teklui/Teklwi) to have a Thanksgiving celebration in December 2008. It is also the 90th anniversary of the village's establishment. He organized people to celebrate this Thanksgiving Celebration with the collaboration of village authorities. And he was the secretary of that Celebration, the Chairman is Rev. Dr. Pum Suan Pau (Principal of Tedim Theological Colllege).
The Thanksgiving Celebration was held in December 27-30, 2008. All the villagers participated in the 90th Anniversary of the Village's Establishment and Thanksgiving Celebration.
The motto of this Thanksgiving Celebration is 2 Chronicles 7:14: "Heal Our Land." The whole villagers attended the celebration, praising Him and gave thanks to God and had confession to God; and rededicated their lives to the Lord. God revealed many new things during this celebration about the future blessing for the whole village.
Future Dream
To inaugurate an organization and conduct Education, Music and Literature (MTT) Ministries. And to pursue PhD degree in secular field.
